We are proud to utilize the latest technology available to ensure our patients enjoy the best results. We use high-resolution digital imaging to capture detailed images of your mouth, thus enabling us to maintain sharp, accurate records and keep you thoroughly informed of your treatment progress.
Our state-of-the-art digital radiography machine emits less radiation and gives us immediate access to the images of your teeth. Patients are exposed to 90 percent less radiation than traditional X-ray machines, making this technology much safer.
In-House Laboratory
Our in-office laboratory expedites the process of creating appliances and allows us to serve you in a more efficient manner.
Our lab produces custom-made appliances for a variety of procedures. These appliances include crowns, bridges, other prosthetics, retainers and other orthodontic appliances. After our orthodontists provide an impression or mold of the patient's teeth, one of our laboratory technicians creates a model of the patient's mouth using plaster molds. The technician then places the model in a device that replicates the bite and movement of the patient's jaw. This model serves as the basis for producing the required appliance(s).
Drs. Hood, Moore and the technicians then examine the model and make necessary adjustments and recommendations for each patient’s appliance. The technician uses the information from this consultation to shape, mold and cast the final appliance. By using our in-house lab to create your appliance, we can assure a better fit.
